Meet Pete

I'm Pete Mabbott, owner of Coast & County Construction.

I spent over 13 years working for the same local groundworks and construction company, starting on the tools and progressing through the business to become Contracts Manager. During that time, I gained hands-on experience across every stage of construction, from drainage, foundations and site preparation through to managing multiple projects, subcontractors and client relationships.

After more than a decade in the industry, I established Coast & County Construction to offer clients a more personal and hands-on approach to construction projects across West Cornwall. My goal was simple: provide high-quality workmanship, honest advice and clear communication from start to finish.

I undertake a wide range of projects including groundworks, drainage, extensions, renovations, annexes, structural alterations, landscaping and new builds. Some clients simply need a contractor to carry out specific works, while others want someone to take responsibility for coordinating the entire project. Having managed construction projects professionally for many years, I can provide both.

One of the aspects of construction I enjoy most is project management. Building projects often involve multiple trades, suppliers, consultants and specialist contractors, and keeping everything moving efficiently can be challenging. I take pride in coordinating these elements on behalf of my clients, ensuring projects are organised, communication is clear and work is delivered to a high standard.

Whether I'm constructing a retaining wall, renovating a home, building an extension or helping deliver a new build, I approach every project with the same mindset: do the job properly, communicate openly and take pride in the finished result.

As a local business, much of my work comes through recommendations and repeat customers. That trust means a great deal to me, and I work hard to earn it on every project I undertake.
